What's For Dinner: Cajun Baked Fish!
Obviously this is the finished product but it was SO easy to make!
Set the oven at 400 degrees
Season the fish to your liking (add cajun seasoning based on how spicy you like it) and coat with wheat flour
Cover the pan with foil (for easy clean up) and sprinkle the foil with olive oil
Place each fish into the pan and cover with foil (makes cooking faster)
Bake for 30 mins (yes, thirty minutes!!!)
And voila! It tasted amazing!

Dreamgirl
Sorry for the slow down in outfit posts but I've recently started working from home so I don't feel the need to dress up just to sit in my living room. Enh. I went into the office yesterday so here is my outfit!
Sidenote: These shoes are so uncomfortable. Definitely not a pair I'll be wearing too often.

Problem Solved...So Far.
Saturday Night Divas
It was full of birthday wishes this past weekend! My grandmother turned 70 years old on Saturday so we threw her a surprise birthday party but we had other birthdays to celebrate in Atlantic City on the same night! Ahhh! So we had to skedaddle (yes, I said skedaddle. Fight me.) on outta there to meet our friends for a night of clubbing. It was a fantastic night full of friends, family, and fun! I picked an outfit that would be appropriate for both my grandmom's party AND a night at the club so there was less to pack and I think it turned out pretty great. My hair barely made the cut though. It started to pour halfway through the night!
What Maya wore:

My Hair Story Continues...
It seems like I'm learning new ways to care for my hair every single day ever since I decided to wear my naturally curly hair and I absorb it happily but it would be a bold faced lie if I didn't admit that, once again, I'm frustrated.
My hair is SO dry despite the normal hair care regimen that I've been doing (and has been working) to keep it moisturized. I don't know what the cause is for the sudden decrease in moisture but I had this same exact issue this time last year and my hair suffered TERRIBLY from it. I don't want to lose the hair that I've worked very hard to make healthy and strong over something as simple as moisture.
As I type this, my hair has been freshly co-washed, moisturized (with water, of course), and sealed. Only this time, I used a liquid based product (Shea Moisture hydrating/shine mist), an oil based product (EVOO), and a cream based product (Bio Infusion leave-in conditioner) then braided up (I also sprayed Brazilian Keratin oil spray) and wrapped in a satin scarf. I learned this method from BlackOnyx77 on YouTube to get maximum moisturized results (I sound like an infommerical) which she called the "LOC" method.
I'll update you guys tomorrow when I check my hair but I'm crossing my fingers! If any of you have ANY tips, tricks, advice, ANYTHING............please let me know. I'm desperate!
Help save my 'fro!

Happy Birthday, Maya!
Sidenote: I don't see me going back to Potstickers ever again because I felt so sick afterwards I felt like my body was turning inside out and my suspicions were confirmed when my friend Shanice (who was with us but not seen here) also ended up sick the next day and her doctor asked her if she had eaten sushi or been to a sushi place recently. Nah son. We off that.

Bantu Knot Out Tutorial
What you'll need:
Also, I used Shea Moisture Curl Smoothie
After applying your leave-in and oil sealant, take a section of hair and detangle
Use about this much curl smoothie
And about this much eco styler gel
Start twisting!
Wrap the twist around itself
Secure with a bobby pin (I find that the bobby pin holds better when you insert the opposite way the twist was wrapped)
Spray some shine mist all over your head and you should look like this when you're done!
Don't forget to wear your satin scarf or bonnet while you sleep!
The next morning:
I don't normally experience a lot of shrinkage with a bantu knot out but this was one of those moments. I still loved the results though!
